At AutoShorts, we strive to provide the best AI-powered video processing service possible. This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which you may be eligible for a refund of your credit purchase.
By purchasing credits on AutoShorts, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Refund Policy.
2. Credit Purchase Policy
AutoShorts operates on a credit-based system where:
- Credits Never Expire: Once purchased, credits remain in your account indefinitely until used
- No Subscriptions: All purchases are one-time payments with no recurring charges
- Credit Consumption: Each clip costs 1 credit. Longer videos typically generate more clips, so they naturally cost more credits overall.
- Immediate Processing: Credits are applied to your account immediately upon successful payment
3. Refund Eligibility
You may be eligible for a full or partial refund under the following circumstances:
Full Refund Eligibility:
- Technical Issues: If our core video processing service experiences technical problems that prevent you from using your credits, and we are unable to resolve the issue within 48 hours (excludes YouTube download feature, which relies on third-party availability and is unpredictable)
- Payment Errors: If you were charged incorrectly or multiple times for the same purchase
- Service Unavailability: If the service becomes completely unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours
- Unused Credits: If you request a refund within 7 days of purchase and have used less than 10% of your purchased credits
Partial Refund Eligibility:
- Quality Issues: If the generated clips consistently fail to meet reasonable quality standards due to technical issues on our end
- Feature Malfunction: If a core feature (transcription, AI analysis, or video cropping) is not working as advertised
4. Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will NOT be issued in the following cases:
- User Error: Mistakes in uploading files or selecting incorrect processing options
- Content Quality: Dissatisfaction with AI clip selection when the service is functioning as designed (AI results may vary based on input content)
- Change of Mind: Simply changing your mind after credits have been used
- Excessive Usage: If more than 10% of purchased credits have been consumed
- Source Video Quality: Poor results due to low-quality input videos (resolution, audio quality, etc.)
- YouTube Download Issues: Problems downloading videos from YouTube or other third-party platforms, as these services are outside our control and subject to their own availability and policies
- Violation of Terms: Any violation of our Terms of Service
- After 30 Days: Refund requests made more than 30 days after the original purchase date
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Email us at admin@autoshorts.app with the subject line "Refund Request"
- Include your account email address and order/transaction ID
- Provide a detailed explanation of why you are requesting a refund
- Include any relevant screenshots or documentation of the issue
We will review your request and respond within 3-5 business days. If additional information is needed, we will contact you directly.
6. Refund Processing
Once your refund is approved:
- Processing Time: Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days of approval
- Refund Method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase
- Bank Processing: Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account
- Partial Refunds: For partial refunds, the amount will be calculated based on unused credits minus a small processing fee
- Credit Removal: Refunded credits will be removed from your account once the refund is processed
7. Chargebacks and Disputes
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company without first contacting us, we reserve the right to:
- Immediately suspend or terminate your account
- Provide evidence to your payment provider
- Ban your account from future use of the service if the chargeback is found to be fraudulent
We strongly encourage you to contact our support team first to resolve any billing issues before initiating a chargeback.
8. Service Guarantees
While we strive for excellence, please note:
- AI Variability: AI-generated clip selections may vary in quality based on your source content. This is not grounds for a refund if the service is functioning as designed.
- Processing Time: Video processing times may vary depending on video length and server load. Extended processing times alone are not grounds for a refund.
- Feature Updates: We continuously improve our service. Changes to features or functionality do not entitle you to a refund for previously purchased credits.
9. Special Circumstances
In cases of extraordinary circumstances, we may consider refund requests outside of this policy on a case-by-case basis. This is entirely at our discretion and should not be expected.
Examples of special circumstances may include natural disasters, medical emergencies, or other unforeseen events that prevent you from using the service.
