LinkedIn videos that read with the sound off.

AutoShorts reads the transcript of your talk, webinar or podcast, picks the 3–15 strongest moments, and reframes each one vertically around the speaker. Burn the captions in with any credit pack and the clip carries itself in a silent feed.

Three posts from one interview — real output, not a mockup. The clips and the captions under them are exactly what AutoShorts produced. The third clip has no captions burned in. That step runs per clip, so you choose which ones get it.

With the sound off

Most of the feed never hears you.

Video autoplays silently while people scroll. A clip with no words on screen is a muted talking head, and it gets scrolled past. Burn the captions in and the same clip reads on its own — which is exactly what the third post above is missing.

  • Word-synced, not a wall of text

Words appear as they are spoken, matched to the audio, so the clip reads at the pace it was said.

  • 6 styles to pick from

Choose the look once per clip. Size, colour and position are yours to set.

  • Unlocked by any credit pack

Burning captions in is a separate step from making the clips. The free trial produces clips without them.

With the sound off

Which moments become posts

It reads what you said, then picks.

AutoShorts transcribes the video word by word and scores the transcript for complete thoughts, hooks and payoffs. It reads the words, not the picture — a moment is chosen because it stands on its own, not because something moved on screen.

  • 3–15 clips per upload

How many you get depends on how much of the talk holds up alone. One credit each, so your credits set the ceiling.

  • 15 to 60 seconds each

Long enough for a complete point, short enough that nobody scrolls away halfway through it.

  • Talks, webinars, podcasts

A YouTube link, or an MP4, MOV or WebM file — a conference talk, a webinar recording, an interview, a panel.

How each clip is framed

Vertical, and pointed at the speaker.

A conference recording centre-cropped to vertical loses the person talking. AutoShorts crops around a detected face instead, and moves the frame the way a camera operator would.

  • 9:16 at your source resolution

The height comes from your file, so a 1080p recording stays 1080p. Nothing is upscaled to hit a round number.

  • Face-tracked, not snapped

The crop follows the face it locks onto and pans like a heavy tripod — it resists jumping, so the clip does not twitch.

  • Scene-aware

Shot changes are detected per clip. A shot with no clear subject falls back to a centred layout on a blurred background rather than guessing.

The caption comes with it

Written from what was actually said.

Every clip ships with a caption and hashtags drawn from that moment's own transcript — not a template, and not the same line rewritten. Copy it, edit it, post it.

  • From the moment, not a template

Because the words come from your video, a technical talk produces technical copy and a founder story produces a founder story.

  • Hashtags included

They sit at the end of the caption, so they travel with it in a single paste and are easy to trim.

  • In the language you spoke

The caption is written in the language spoken in the video rather than translated into English.

Download and post

You post it. We hand you the file and the words.

There is no LinkedIn connection in AutoShorts. You download the finished clip and put it up yourself, with the caption already on the clipboard.

  • The video

A 9:16 MP4, watermark-free once you have bought any credit pack.

  • The caption

Copy it from the clip's card, change anything you want, paste it in.

  • The hashtags

Already at the end of the caption, so nothing is left behind.

What it costs

One credit per clip. Nothing to cancel.

  • 1 credit = 1 clip

You get 3 credits at signup, so the first 3 clips are free. Credits do not expire.

  • Trial and paid limits

Recordings up to 15 minutes and 300 MB on the free trial; 90 minutes and 2.5 GB with any credit pack.

  • Watermark on the trial

Trial clips carry a small autoshorts.app mark. Any credit pack removes it, and the free signup credits do not.

  • One recording at a time

AutoShorts processes a single video per account at once, so a long webinar does not queue behind another job.

Questions

Before you upload

Can AutoShorts publish the clips for me?

No. AutoShorts makes the clips and writes the caption; you download the MP4 and put it up yourself. There is no LinkedIn connection in the product today, so the workflow ends with a finished file and a caption ready to paste.

Do the clips come with captions on screen?

Not automatically. Burning in word-synced captions is a separate one-click step on any clip, in one of 6 styles, and any credit pack unlocks it. Without that step you get a clean clip with no text in the picture — which is what the third post above shows.

How long is each clip?

Between 15 and 60 seconds. That band is long enough to carry one complete point and short enough to hold attention in a feed.

How many clips do I get from one recording?

3–15 per upload, depending on how much of the talk stands on its own. Each clip costs one credit, so your balance sets the ceiling — a 3-credit trial gives you 3.

What can I upload?

A YouTube link, or an MP4, MOV or WebM file. Up to 15 minutes and 300 MB on the free trial, and up to 90 minutes and 2.5 GB with any credit pack.

Does it work in my language?

Transcription covers around 100+ languages, and the caption is written in the language spoken in the video rather than translated into English.
